again,

older images and literally, walking thru photographs of once upon when.


this was taken in montreal, at the mcgill university.

i was intrigued by the way, we can walk this world.

place ourselves there, where we want to be.


upon earth without maps.

this is just gorgeous. i love maps, theyve always fascinated me... partly its just the lines and colors and looking at them abstractly, but its also what you said in your description, that potential for travel, and distance. for placing yourself anywhere...

i love the little gesture with the toes, pointing out some spot, and the way the glare along the top appears to be a bank of clouds, that will soon swallow their ankles.

at first glance i thought they were on a beach, in the small view, but then i saw the map, and realized theyre just on a different kind of coast. wonderful, wonderful photo. what ar all those little pictures (?) along the shoreline on the map?
